Tim Lloyd Yeates

It is with great sadness that BCfm report the passing of our friend and BCfm family member Tim Lloyd Yeates.

Tim was an integral part of our Silversound programme on BCfm and also appeared regularly on other shows including The One Love breakfast show where he would report on his inspiring work with care provision for our elders via his charity Alive where he was the founding director.

Tim’s passion was contagious and his groundbreaking work with dementia patients in so many different settings was recognised worldwide with frequent articles, lectures and presentations to an array of practitioners and politicians.

Most of all Tim was a friend, a gentle man filled with love, care generosity and wisdom for so many of us that had the honour of spending time with him. He was a gifted presenter with a wealth of musical expertise and stories to share. He had a profound effect on so many of us and will leave a lasting legacy with everyone at BCfm.

Tim was just 47 years of age and finally lost his battle with Leukaemia over the weekend. He leaves his wife Chiara and daughter Kezhia. Our deepest sympathies go out to them and to all who knew and loved him.
