SLAVE TRADER NAME REMOVED FROM HALL

The name of slave trader Edward Colston will be removed from the concert hall run by the Bristol Music Trust when it re-opens in 2020

Years of campaigning have finally made a difference following a unanimous vote of the Bristol Music Trust just before Easter to rename the Colston Hall .

St Peters Hospice's support of Black History Month Massive Success

Bcfm's unprecedented & extensive coverage of this years Black Hisoty Month 2015 has been hailed as a massive success thanks to support & sponsorship from St Peters Hospice.

Thanks to  financial support from St Peters Hospice, BCfm were able to prooduce programming and daily what's on During the entire month of October.

Graduate Deasay Johnson supported by Sherrie Eugene Hart ensured that the station had daily news and what's on information alongside some fascinating documentary pieces aired during both breakfast and drivetime throughout the month. 

LIGHTS BACK ON FOR UJIMA THIS WEEK

Fellow Community Station Ujima FM had live programmes stopped last week when it emerged that the leasholders of the building had not been paying their utility bills even though Ujima Radio were totally up to date.
